A Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) is a health professional regulated by the College of Massage Therapist of Ontario. An RMT have gone through over 2200 hours of collagen program and completed a minimum of 150 clinical hours. Green Creek Wellness Centre offers massage therapy.

When the purpose of the massage is stress relief and relaxation, then the massage should not hurt. When the goal of the massage is to relieve muscle pain and to ease muscle tensions, then there could be discomfort during massage therapy. In this case, Green Creek spa treats adhesions/scar tissues, trigger points and increases range of motion. However, the pressure of the massage treatment also depends on personal preferences of the client.

No, there are no provincial health plans that cover massage therapy. However, massage therapy is covered by many work insurance programs and private extended health benefits programs. Some plans have full coverage. You may find the details of your coverage through your private insurance websites, or simply call their customer support line.

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to see a RMT. However, some extended health benefits may require a referral for your massage.

Your comfort level is very important to the massage therapists. Please note that RMTs will always have a clean sheet that covers you to ensure your privacy, only exposing the area that they are working on.
